Blades '68 brings the city of Doskvol into the swinging 60s with an all new cast of characters, strange paranormal entities, and an entire catalog of nefarious factions.

But what if you wanted to move the dial just a little further?

Introducing Runaways, an all new custom crew for Blades '68 inspired  stories of morally complex heroes on the run.

As a crew of Runaways you take on the role of fugitives fleeing the powerful faction that wronged you. You might play to get revenge on that faction or you might strive merely to escape from their clutches. Whatever your aims, those bastards will hound you until you're in their clutches or at the bottom of the void-sea so be prepared to fight for every inch of progress towards your goals.

Those Bastards & The Burning Fuse

When you play as Runaways you are defined by their situation, the inciting incident that sent them on the run, and by the powerful faction responsible for your plight lovingly referred to in the text as bastards.

Your runaways might be ...

... Burned assets blacklisted by a your employer,

... Scapegoats framed for a terrible crime you did not commit,

... or Test Subjects recently escaped from a shady underworld lab.

Each situation offers a different selection of bastards to pit yourself against as well as a constantly ticking clock known as the burning fuse. When it burns down your carefully-laid plans will be upended and a chase ensues.

Run, rat, run and you might survive long enough to turn the tables on your pursuers.
